Copa 2026

The short version

Copa 2026 doesn't need cookies to function. The site itself sets nothing in your cookie jar. We do store a small amount of data in your browser's local storage to remember things like your cookie preferences, that data never leaves your device.

If you consent through our cookie banner, third-party advertising and analytics tools (such as Google AdSense, Ezoic, or Microsoft Clarity) may set cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time. Categories you reject will never fire.

See the Privacy Policy for the broader picture of what data we handle and your rights.

What's a cookie?

A "cookie" is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It might hold a session ID, a preference, an opaque tracking token, or any other small string. The next time your browser visits the same site, it sends the cookie back so the site can remember something.

This notice also covers similar technologies: localStorage and sessionStorage (the browser's web-storage APIs), pixel beacons, and any tracking technology that achieves the same effect as a cookie. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, all of these require your consent before they can be used for non-essential purposes.

Categories of cookies and storage on this site

Strictly necessary None used

Cookies in this category would be required for the site to function, for example, holding a login session or remembering items in a shopping cart. Copa 2026 does not have accounts or transactions, so we set no strictly-necessary cookies of our own.

Functional / preferences On, first-party, your device only

We use your browser's localStorage to remember one thing: your cookie-consent choice, so the banner doesn't ask again on every visit. That's the only thing we store. It stays on your device and is never sent to us or to any third party.

If we add additional features that store data on your device, each new key will be added to this table. To clear this data, use your browser's "Clear site data" function for this domain.

Analytics Mixed, see below

We use two analytics tools, each with different cookie behavior:

See Microsoft's Privacy Statement and Clarity cookie list for full details. Cookie retention ranges from session-only to 1 year.

Advertising Opt-in only

If you consent, the site may load a third-party advertising network. Only one of the two will be active at a time:

Both networks may transmit data to their advertising partners under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.2). You can review and adjust granular consent, including for "personalized ads," "ad measurement," "audience research," and similar purposes, directly in the cookie banner.

If you reject advertising cookies, you will still see ads (where ads are shown) but they will be contextual rather than behavioral.

Managing your consent

On your first visit, a cookie banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. You can:

To change your choices later, click the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer. Your decision is stored in localStorage on your device. If you clear your browser data, the banner will appear again on your next visit.

You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings. Each major browser has guidance:

"Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control

We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by browsers and extensions. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as defined by California's CCPA/CPRA) and to disable advertising cookies.

The older "Do Not Track" header is not consistently defined or enforced, and most platforms have stopped supporting it. Where it is sent, we treat it the same way as GPC.

Updates to this notice

We may update this Cookie Notice when we add or remove cookie-setting tools, or when a relevant law changes. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Material changes, for example, adding a new tracking category, will be flagged with a banner on the site for at least 30 days.
